Bullring Calahorra

Its construction began in 1879 and opened August 31, 1880 with the great "Lagartijo" in the poster. A fire destroyed this bullring. The current bullring was built in May of 1924 on the initiative of a company totally Calahorrana and made exclusively for that reason called "Society Plaza de Toros of Calahorra". That afternoon the “Marquesa de Villagodio” bulls by the matadors "Joselito de Malaga", Mariano Montes and Fausto Barajas. It has round shape, built with stone and wood. It consists of two floors. Three doors give entrance to the building, has a small stable, a corral for bravo cattle, six stalls, nursing, dispatch notes, Chapel and administration.
