The month of September in Las Ventas Bullring arrives with a long-awaited appointment by fans: the Livestock Challenges and the Contest Bullfight. In these three bullfights the animal is the absolute protagonist and you can enjoy very demanding irons and the value of the nine bullfighters in search of triumph.

What are the livestock challenges 'Desafíos Ganaderos'?

In each Livestock Challenge two different irons face each other and the third parts of the fight are given maximum importance; for this reason, the area of ​​itching between the rows 7 and 8 is delimited and three lines are marked towards the center of the ring to measure the distance from which the bull is started towards the horse.

The three bullfighters and their respective crews give their best to enjoy the bravery of the bulls from beginning to end.

And the Contest Bullfight 'Corrida Concurso'?

In the Contest Bullfight six bulls from six different fighting-bull ranches participate and the lines for the third of rods (the horses one) are also delimited. In addition, the most brave bull, the best picador and the best ‘banderillero’ are rewarded; it is decision of a jury formed by bullfighting critics, veterinarians, the company and also the vote of the fans.
