Bulls Cantillana

Very close to Seville, and on the banks of the Guadalquivir river, is the town of Cantillana; with a long history and pre-Roman origin. Cantillana is declared  Bullfighter Fan Village, because it is a cradle of bullfighters and bullfighting lovers.

It is very famous for the craft of the impressive Manila shawls, whose embroideries and fringes hand make its women, supplying most of the country.

The Brotherhoods and Arch-confraternity also have a prominent role in the society of the Sevillian town.

When are there bullfights in Cantillana?

The town celebrates its festivities in August and September, however, it is in the month of February when it traditionally hosts a bullfighting show in the centenary Bullring.

The event has traditionally been a charity bullfighting festival, whose collection has been destined to the different local Catholic entities and their respective social works.
