The son of French rejoneadora María Sara, Lalo was a student at the taurine schools of Navas del Rey (Madrid) and Seville. His bullfighting style is characterized by his great adaptability to different types of cattle, blending technique and emotion in each performance. With his fresh and passionate style, he continues to earn the recognition of fans and experts, who view Lalo de María as one of the brightest future stars in bullfighting.
Born in Nîmes, France, on April 7, 2002, Lalo has quickly made a name for himself in the bullfighting world thanks to his unique approach and strong connection with the audience. He made his debut with picadors on March 4, 2022, in Olivenza (Badajoz), where he shared the bill with Alejandro Adame and Raquel Martín, receiving an ovation for his performance with novillos from El Freixo.
In his short but promising career, Lalo has stood out in many prestigious festivals. One of the highlights was his debut at the Las Ventas bullring on May 30, 2023, where he faced novillos from Fuente Ymbro alongside Víctor Hernández and Álvaro Burdiel. Furthermore, the previous season was very successful for him, with 8 ears cut in 15 events. His performance at the Feria de Fallas in Valencia, where he took a lap of honor after fighting a batch of Fuente Ymbro novillos, and his appearance at La Maestranza in Seville, where he received ovations with novillos from Núñez de Tarifa, marked a turning point in his rising career.
