Bullfighter Javier Zulueta

Date of birth: Seville, on May 24, 2005.

Formation: Bullfighting School of Seville.

Debut of lights: on July 13, in Seville bullring.

Student of the Bullfighting School of Seville with Luis de Pauloba as a teacher. He has lived bullfighting since he was born: he is the son and nephew of alguacilillos of the Real Maestranza, nephew of Gabriel Rojas, grandson of the famous puntillero Enrique Lebrijas.

In 2022 he was winner of the XXIV cycle of bullfights of the Bullfighting Schools of Andalusia after cutting in Estepona two ears with strong request of tail to a bull of El Rodeo.

In the season of 2023 cut two ears and tail in La Puebla del Rio on the evening of January 21. Winner of the contest "Alfarero de Plata" of Villaseca de la Sagra after cutting three ears to Alcurrucén steers on the afternoon of April 29. He cut an ear in Alicante on the afternoon of June 19.

Winner of the XXXVI Cycle of Promotion of Seville in 2023 after cutting an ear to the bull of Dolores Rufino.

The Pagés Company takes over the novillero Javier Zulueta

The Pagés Company, which runs the Seville Bullring, has taken charge of the career of the young Sevillian novillero Javier Zulueta, one of the leading names in the novillero ranks without picadors last season.

Ramón Valencia Pastor and Ramón Valencia Canorea will be in charge of Zulueta, in clear support of the future of Sevillian bullfighting. The agreement was officially sealed today at the Pagés offices in Calle Adriano, where the bullfighter and the bullfighter's representatives discussed the approach to the 2024 season.

Javier Zulueta was born in Seville on 24 May 2005 and trained at the city's Bullfighting School. In 2022 he was the winner of the Ciclo de Becerradas de Andalucía and this year he has been the winner in the XXXVI Ciclo de Promoción de Sevilla. Also in 2023 he won the Alfarero de Plata in Villaseca de la Sagra (Toledo).
