In the Fair of the Mercé it was when in the Bullring of The Monumental one the most important bullfights of Barcelona were celebrated.

These Fair are celebrated every year at the end of September from 1871. The Barcelona begins the autumn with this major Fair in honor his mistress, the Mare de Déu of the Mercè. A legend tells that she was Our Lady of the Mercè who saved the city. As a sign of gratefulness the inhabitants of Barcelona nominated her his mistress.
