Bullring Osuna

It was inaugurated on May 14, 1904 by Montes and Machaquito.
Previously the celebrations were held in the Plaza Mayor (from mid-nineteenth century) and one time or another in the Plaza de Santo Domingo.
Built with stones from the old Roman wall of Osuna. In 1999 the municipality of Osuna acquires ownership of this building that becomes part of the municipal patrimony.
Contrary to many opinions, was built with personal contributions between brothers, father and children. Their price range was about 150,000 pesetas The business did not work and some landowners of the time were buying the shares of the least graceful.
For being built on a mound, the Sun was dug in it, while the shadow rested on arches of hewn stone from the quarries of Osuna.
It is equipped with all required dependencies for the celebration of festivities: comfortable lying, sheeted boxes for the days of bullfights, barriers, wide alley, nursing, butchering, stables, pigsties, cattle pen to land, etc..
In its first hundred years took place some 360 ​​bullfights: 63 bullfights, 30 runs on horseback, bullfights, festivals and comedy.
Here debuted Manolete as becerrista, with a comedy show called The Caliphs bullfighting.

Winter schedule: from September to June, from Tuesday to Sunday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Summer schedule: from June to September, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 09:30 to 14:30. Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
