A 'Monster' Bullfighting Fair in Illescas
Illescas becomes the epicentre of bullfighting with a historic Feria del Milagro, set to take place on the 8th and 9th of March 2025, featuring a 'monster' bullfight and a stellar rejoneo line-up.

The covered bullring of Illescas is gearing up to host one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the 2025 bullfighting season. On Wednesday, the organising company MaxiToro officially unveiled the posters for the Feria del Milagro, an event that stands out for its innovation and prestige. This year’s programme includes a historic 'monster' bullfight with four matadors and eight bulls, alongside a top-tier rejoneo spectacle.
A Trendsetting Fair
In recent years, the Feria del Milagro in Illescas has established itself as a key fixture at the start of the bullfighting season, drawing not only the biggest names in bullfighting but also notable figures from the social and cultural spheres. In 2025, the event reaches new heights with a historic bullfight scheduled for 8 March: four top matadors will face eight bulls, an unprecedented feature for this fair.
The Stars of the Poster
The 'monster' bullfight will see four leading matadors share the stage:
- José María Manzanares, returning to Illescas after his triumphs in the 2023 and 2024 editions.
- Alejandro Talavante, one of bullfighting’s greatest figures, who concluded 2024 with standout successes, including his second exit through Seville's Puerta del Príncipe.
- Fernando Adrián, the Madrid-born matador who dazzled in 2024 with a record-breaking 25 consecutive triumphs and victories in renowned arenas such as Las Ventas and Nîmes.
- Juan Ortega, known for his pure and classic Sevillian style, highlighted by an impressive performance at La Maestranza last year.
The bulls will come from the prestigious herds of Daniel Ruiz and Luis Algarra, both renowned for producing memorable moments in Illescas.
A Rejoneo Line-Up of Excellence
On 9 March, the focus shifts to the rejoneo bullfight, showcasing an exceptional cast:
- Diego Ventura, the undisputed master of bullfighting on horseback and a regular victor in Illescas.
- Andy Cartagena, whose resounding triumph in 2024 included four ears and a tail in this same ring.
- Leonardo Hernández, another leading figure in the modern rejoneo scene.
The bulls for this spectacle will be provided by Capea, a name synonymous with unforgettable moments in this arena.
