The advertising campaign of the Pilar Fair manages to surprise every season. The great fair of the year brings together more than 150,000 people in nine days that lasts the cycle and in which there are scheduled about twenty-five bullfights. In Zaragoza, all possible bullfighting traditions come together and this value of unity is what this year's campaign wants to highlight.
In this 2017 comes "Zaragoza, Pilar de la Tauromaquia". The campaign for the first time goes in color, with a more typical colormetry of Velázquez's painting and that is what Joserra Lozano has achieved through his lens. Under a creative process in 2D he has made these photographs that look like paintings and show that our art is more alive than ever, so the bullfighters of the paintings come to life.
The main objective of this campaign is to vindicate once again the values of bullfighting as Simón Casas Production has always done in its campaigns. Faced with the incessant attacks that our sector receives, it is time to join hands as in the poster and defend our culture. We believe that unity is strength and the union of all the bullfighting industry will be the key to success. More than a campaign for the Zaragoza Fair, it is a campaign for Bullfighting and Zaragoza is the ideal place to show this communion. Millions of people pass through the capital of Aragon during these days and there are days when the bullring fills up to four times with the different celebrations organized in La Misericordia. For all these reasons, Zaragoza is the Pilar, the Pillar of Bullfighting.
