Ginés Marín receives the "Rioja y Oro" dress for the San Isidro's winner.

The bullfighter received yesterday in Madrid the award given by the Centro Riojano de Madrid to the winner of the Feria de San Isidro in its XV edition.

The Jury awarded this suit of lights to Ginés Marín, after he was declared Winner of San Isidro Fair 2017 in Madrid for his great performance on May 25 when he cut the two ears of the sixth bull of the afternoon, Barberillo nº 127 of Alcurrucén, leaving through the Puerta Grande.

Grateful

Ginés Marín said he felt "very grateful for this very special and beautiful award. This dress has an important meaning and full of connotations, because you have given it to me after the triumph in Madrid, in one of the most important and happiest afternoons of my life and transcendental in my career".

Official ceremony

The ceremony was presided over by Cristina Maiso, Director General of Justice of the Government of La Rioja, and also present were the members of the Jury with its president and secretary, and other members of the Centro Riojano in Madrid.
