Ubrique Lights Up: Official Presentation of the Novillada with Picadores

Ubrique is gearing up for an electrifying afternoon of bullfighting. On Friday, 21st February, the local Town Hall hosted the official presentation of the novillada with picadores, set to take place on Saturday, 22nd March. This highly anticipated event will feature three rising stars of the novillero ranks and an exciting bull lineup.

The event, organised by Juan Sánchez Bravo, brings together a talented lineup of young bullfighters. In the Ubrique bullring, the local novillero Mario Sánchez will take on Javier Zulueta, one of last season’s biggest sensations, and Martín Morilla, from Morón de la Frontera, who is now under the mentorship of legendary matador Juan José Padilla.

The bulls for this event come from the prestigious Jiménez Pasquau ranch, known for producing brave and noble animals, ensuring a thrilling afternoon in the arena. Furthermore, with affordable ticket prices, this is a fantastic opportunity for visitors and locals alike to witness an authentic Spanish spectacle.

The presentation ceremony was attended by Juan José Padilla, event promoter Marcelino Abenza, representatives from the ranch, and members of the local government, led by Mayor Mario Casillas.
